Cybersecure Tips for Vacation |
|
Summer is in full swing and so is the summer vacation time. Here are some tips to help you stay cybersecure while on vacation.
1. You don’t need to bring all your mobile devices! It’s a vacation, spend time with your family, enjoy the peace of the outdoors, have a conversation, or just relax.
2. Any mobile device that you do bring with you please make sure that you apply any outstanding updates to it and the applications you plan on using.
3. Don’t use public WIFI. Use your hotspot on your phone. Don’t forget to monitor the usage of your hotspot so you don’t go over your data limit.
4. Do not use public computers to access sensitive accounts! You have no idea what could be installed on that computer.
5. Don’t post to your social media accounts until after you get home. Sometime posting on social media can let the robbers know you are not home and won’t be home for a while.
Vacation is a great time to put those mobile devices down and spend some quality with those that you love. |
